Holly House is a friendly, welcoming nursery with a wonderful, homely feel. Our building and grounds have been designed to feel less like an institution and more like a family home, because we know that warmth and familiarity matter to young children.
Inside, we have three distinct playrooms, each designed for a specific age group with its own identity, resources and atmosphere. Outside, we have one of the finest nursery outdoor spaces in North Leeds.
We understand that starting nursery can be a big transition for both children and parents, and we are committed to supporting families every step of the way to make the experience as smooth and positive as possible.
Our baby and toddler room is a warm, caring and nurturing environment where getting to know each child is at the heart of everything we do. We take the time to build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, helping every baby feel safe, secure and to develop a true sense of belonging.
Through responsive, loving care and playful experiences, we support each child’s personal, social and emotional development while encouraging their growing confidence and independence. We provide plenty of opportunities to develop physical skills, language, and communication, allowing babies to explore and learn at their own pace.
Every child is unique, and we celebrate their individual interests, needs, and milestones, creating a happy foundation for them to feel valued, flourish, and grow.
Our rising twos room is a warm and nurturing space where wonder and curiosity are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage children to explore, investigate, and discover the world around them while developing their confidence and growing independence.
Our days are filled with opportunities to learn through play, with plenty of time outdoors to explore nature, get active, and enjoy fresh air. We share a love of core books and nursery rhymes, helping children develop their language, communication, and early literacy skills in fun and engaging ways.

Our pre-school room is a fun, nurturing environment where children grow in confidence, independence and curiosity as they prepare for their transition to school.
Children enjoy a wide range of enriching experiences, including Early Talk Boost, Number Train and La Jolie Ronde, alongside visits to local schools and our much loved trips to the theatre. We encourage children to develop their communication, early literacy and numeracy skills through playful, engaging learning.
From navigating friendships, becoming more independent and developing resilience, to performing in our Nativity, every day brings opportunities to learn, explore and shine.

Our outdoor area has to be seen to be believed. It is large, genuinely inspiring and in daily use whatever the weather. Outdoor play is a core part of every child’s day. Time outside supports physical development, emotional wellbeing, scientific curiosity, and so much more.
We are open Monday to Friday, 7.45am to 6.00pm, 51 weeks of the year.
We are closed for one week at Christmas, on all bank and public holidays, and on two training days per year.
